Welcome to our main Aikido Page at Renseikan Dojo. Our Dojo is a full-time martial arts school providing martial arts instruction for students in the Durham Region (Pickering, Ajax, Whitby and Oshawa) and east Toronto (Scarborough).

Our Aikido Dojo offers beginners and advanced belt classes for adults and older youth. We teach Yoshinkan Aikido, a traditional, non-competitive Japanese martial art originating from the ancient martial art of daito aikijutsu. Our instructors emphasize students' self-development through rigorous, disciplined training in basic movements, kata and partner work.

Students will be immersed in the Japanese cultural aspects of aikido while they learn Terminology, techniques and the other requirements for the various aikido kyu (non black belts ranks) and dan (black belt ranks) levels. All this information is taught in the classes and can be found in the Student Manual.

Students may invite their friends to try a class. Just download a Bring A Friend form and bring it into the dojo for a free trial class.
