Karate-do Class Instruction

Karate-do classes at Renseikan Dojo are taught by our chief instructor, Ward Jardine. He is assisted in classes by his experienced Karate-do blackbelt students.

Jardine Sensei

Ward Jardine is the owner and chief instructor (Sensei) of Renseikan Dojo in Pickering, Ontario. In addition to teaching martial arts full-time at the Dojo for the past 10 years, he also created and ran a martial arts program within the Montessori school system for over 8 years, and facilitated several martial arts workshops in the Ontario public school system. Sensei holds advanced degree blackbelts in Karate, Aikido, Jodo and Judo, and has trained extensively in the martial arts for more than 25 years. With over 20 years of experience teaching the martial arts, he has instructed thousands of children and adults in Karate-do, Aikido, Judo and Jodo. He has also been a guest participant/instructor at martial arts demonstrations in Canada, the United States and Japan.

Mark Hamlyn	Mark Hamlyn began his Karate-do training under Sensei in 1997. He currently holds a nidan (2nd degree blackbelt) in Karate-do.

Lynn Elwood has been training in Karate-do under Sensei since 1997. She currently holds a nidan (2nd degree blackbelt) in Karate-do and shodan (1st degree blackbelt) in Jodo.

	Joe Vallejo
Joe Vallejo	Joe Vallejo has trained in Karate-do under Baehr Sensei and Croft Sensei, and is currently trains exclusively under Sensei in both Karate-do and Jodo. He holds a nidan (2nd degree blackbelt) in Karate-do and a shodan (1st degree blackbelt) in jodo.

Joanna Kurylowicz has been training in Karate-do under Sensei since 2000. She currently holds a shodan (1st degree blackbelt) in Karate-do.

Rob Knox	Rob Knox has been involved in the martial arts for over 15 years, and has been training in Karate-do under Sensei since 1999. He currently holds a shodan (1st degree blackbelt) in Karate-do.

Dan Boyle	Dan Boyle trained in Karate-do under both Sensei and Baehr Sensei. He holds a shodan (1st degree blackbelt) in Karate-do and his Stirling Shorin-Ryu Karate Dojo is located in Stirling, Ontario.
